WELCOME TO THE "GROOMER NEXT DOOR" SYNOPSIS PAGE
INTRODUCTION: For starters we're not just a podcast. We're trying to be a beacon to non profit organizations. We have a website to really gather what we're trying to do. www.thegroomernextdoor.squarespace.com Here's your opportunity to read more about (your hosts) Sarah Green & Chris Green. I will categorize different key events that brings us to your radio. For starters you can see our Facebook page by going to https://www.facebook.com/TheGroomerNextDoor?ref=hl .
MISSION STATEMENT: Our goal is to make a difference in not only our community, but all over the World. We can help our furry friends who can't speak for themselves. We intend to contumely build content, provide experts to speak about positive information, and help as many animals as possible. This podcast is here to HELP and not be a vehicle to make money for ourselves. And it's not here to provide conflict against other(a).
MEET SARAH & CHRIS GREEN: Sarah's been grooming now for over 10 years. She started grooming in Southern California (Anaheim,CA) and developed her craft over the years. She credits her development to a few from the salon she started at. Her biggest inspiration was Jeff. She had many of great groomers to learn from but Jeff was her muse. In 2010 Sarah and I moved with their daughter to Rolla, Missouri due to Sarah's fathers illness. It was advantages for Sarah to be with her father during these times. For starters her dad hadn't met their daughter (who was just a little older then a year old. Sarah immediately started working for Carol of Carol's Pet Salon. She worked with Carol for just over 3 years. During that time she obtained many accolades including the front page of The Rolla Daily News. The newspaper featured sarah and her outstanding grooming. A high honor by any standard. In 2013 Sarah left Carol's Pet Salon and moved to Shadowood Pet Resort where she remains. "It's a great fit for me. The atmosphere is upbeat, and warm". In late 2013 I started working at Shadowood alongside my wife. She teaches me how to groom, and I wash, and dry all her dogs before she grooms them. It's a dynamic team effort. It's so nice to wake up in the morning, get our daughter ready for school, drive her to school together, then work together. I truly don't think many people could do it. But Sarah and I have a unique marriage. Were best friends first, and we've been together for 12 years now. We grew up TOGETHER. In 2013 I moved overseas because of work.it was the hardest experience I could possibly endure. I was lucky to have a good laptop to FaceTime with Sarah and Claire. But I was on the other side of the world so it was truly a lot to handle. I don't EVER want to do that again.
LIFE AT SHADOWOOD: Working with great people is obviously the key to success. I have more fun at work. On a daily basis we have a blast. Every day we have a specific fun immature content. MONDAYS, Wrecking ball Monday. TUESDAY, is hashtag Tuesday. WEDNESDAY, is " I reck'n" Wednesday. THURSDAY, is mix everything in Thursday. And FRIDAY is Canada Day EH(Talk like a Canadian) Day eh. We play with the dogs. We feed off each other's happiness, and just enjoy life. Best way to explain it.
